From Photography to Music

At 9, I discovered my passion for images. At 40+, I discovered a new love: music.

More Than 30 Years Behind the Camera

Since 1987, when I won the Sarotti Photo Competition, photography has been my life. I have:

  • Photographed thousands of people
  • Captured countless events
  • Worked in London, Paris, and Munich
  • Created documentations about homelessness and humanitarian missions

Every image tells a story. Every portrait captures a moment, an emotion.

The Connection Between Image and Sound

One day I realized: Music and photography are siblings.

Both share:

  • Composition: The arrangement of elements in space (photography) or time (music)
  • Rhythm: The visual flow in an image, the beat in a song
  • Emotion: The ultimate goal is to convey feelings
  • Storytelling: Every work tells a story

The Leap into the Unknown

After decades of expertise in one field, it was initially scary to be a beginner again. But that's exactly what made it so exciting!

What I Learned:

  1. Creativity knows no bounds: The ability to tell stories is transferable
  2. Technique is learnable: Just like cameras, you can master instruments and software
  3. Experience is valuable: My years as an artist helped me learn faster
  4. It's never too late: A new chapter can begin at any age

The Future

I'm not stopping photography – it is and always will be a part of me. But now I have an additional dimension to express my creativity.

Perhaps I'll soon combine both worlds in multimedia projects. Who knows?

The creative journey continues – and I'm excited to see where it leads.
